Speaking with the Dalai Lama in a dream

This morning I dreamed that I was briefly in the presence
of the Dalai Lama. I explained to him that I understood that my ego identity
was a fiction. Then I asked him what if anything survived bodily death.
I attempted by using a dream diagram to tentatively relate this possibility to the Taoist concept of the "uncarved block,"
but without actually uttering this phrase in my dream.
He gave me a slight smile and said we could discuss it later,
as more time was required to properly answer the question.
